We purchased Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner to put it through its paces. Keep reading for our verdict on how well it performs.

Keeping on top of each different floor surface in your home is a tricky task. So how amazing would it be if there was one product to handle it all?

Rejuvenate floor cleaning products are known for their outstanding results and there are now more than 50 to choose from. The company started in the 1990s and has become one of the leading floorcare brands in the USA.

I thought it was time to test out one of their top multi-surface options, the Rejuvenate floor cleaner. I’ll share my experience of its pros and cons and whether I think you should buy it.

A Fresh and Fast, but Not Flawless, Floor Cleaner
Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner

PROS Of Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner
  • Easy to apply
  • It doesn’t leave a nasty chemical scent
  • Dried-on food stains were easy to remove
  • You can use it on a range of floor materials
CONS Of Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner
  • There were streaks left behind
  • Disappointing lack of shine on tile floors
TESTING INSIGHT:

Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner is easy to apply and gives promising results, but I was left with streaks and a lack of any high-gloss finish.

A Quality Bottle

Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner

It’s off to a good start for Rejuvenate as I like the bottle design. The colors and holographic details are eye-catching, yet all the information is still displayed in a simple format.

The plastic it’s made from also feels thick and sturdy. It’s a step-up in quality from the own-brand supermarket products you find in your local store.

When you flip the bottle over for the instructions, they’re simple and straightforward but geared towards upselling more Rejuvenate products. It advises you to use their CLICK n SPRAY mop or their special mop bonnet.

I don’t have these and don’t want to buy them, so I interpreted the directions for my own needs. In this case, a reusable microfiber mop pad and another sponge cloth to compare it against.

Even doing this, it was really easy to work out how best to use the Rejuvenate floor refresher with my generic microfiber applicator.

Take Note

If you like to know what’s in the products you use, then this one will disappoint. There aren’t any ingredients anywhere on the label.

The only hint to what’s in it is a “safe for pets and kids” logo, as well as mention of the pH-balanced formula. There are also warranty details, which is reassuring to see.

Overall, it’s a great user-friendly bottle. I knocked a point off purely because of the lack of ingredients and how small the text is compared to their own marketing images.

What Floors Can You Use it On?

5
As this is the “ All Floors Cleaner”, you can use it on any floor. The idea is that the pH-balanced solution is gentle on any surface, yet strong enough to cut through grease and grime.

The instructions and images are geared more towards wood floors, but mainly so you know which way to go against the grain.

There aren’t any other specific details for other floors, other than saying it’s safe to use on all of them.

This kind of floor cleaner is great if you have a mixture of surfaces in your home and want something to tackle all of them.

But the results are never as good as if you opt for a specific product that’s designed for a certain floor type. For example, a laminate floor cleaner, a linoleum floor cleaner, or a vinyl floor cleaner.

I’ve included a quick round-up of a couple of Rejuvenate products specifically for wood floors further down.

Using Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner

Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner Instructions

I can see why so many people rave about this floor cleaner when it’s so easy to use.

It’s pre-mixed in a spray bottle, ready to go. All you need to do is unbox it and untwist the nozzle, and you can get cracking.

I ran my vacuum cleaner around first to get rid of any bits of dirt and debris, then sprayed the Rejuvenate onto my tiled floor and mopped. For laminate and wood floors, it’s best to go with the grain to create a seal.

You can use any clean spray mop system to apply this product. I opted for a reusable microfiber mop pad, but I also tried a sponge cloth to see how the results differed. More on this later!

Once you’ve mopped, just wait for the cleaner to dry completely. There’s no need to faff around with rinsing.

TESTING INSIGHT:

I was impressed by the spray function and how it delivered a consistent fine mist, whatever angle I was spraying from. It didn’t leak any dribbly bits and it stayed strong, even when I sprayed downwards.

You May Also Like

But I did find the results were better if I sprayed closer to the floor. It dries super fast, so spraying from higher meant the mist was so fine that it started to dry before I could mop.

The main downside was having to carry the bottle around with me so I could keep spraying sections. At 32 fl.oz. it’s not the lightest bottle! Pouring the liquid into the water tank on a spray mop would definitely make life easier.

It Doesn’t Take Long to Dry

5
Waiting for floors to dry feels like the longest wait in the world. But not with the Rejuvenate All Floors cleaner.

I was surprised by how quickly it dried. At first, I thought it was because there was still some warmth from the under-floor heating, but I tried it on other rooms without the heating and it still dried within minutes.

Because it’s so quick to dry, you’re better off spraying small sections as you go. It gives you time to mop the area before the floor dries, and then you can move to the next patch.

No Unpleasant Chemical Odors

4
While the label says “Fresh Scent”, I didn’t notice any sort of aroma. I even gave the spray nozzle a good sniff to make sure it wasn’t just overly delicate.

To be honest, I was relieved there wasn’t an overwhelming chemical scent as you get with some cleaning products. I’ve got a toddler and an aging dog in the house, so I prefer to keep things toned down.

But some sort of pleasant smell is a benefit I’d like to have. It makes the whole house feel that bit fresher when there’s a gentle aroma wafting around.

And besides, it’s nice for people to realize you’ve cleaned the floors so they know it’s their turn next!

Still, I can’t knock the lack of scent too much because I’d rather it was that way than having my nostrils left stinging from chemicals.

Value For Money

3.5
Let’s talk about the price of Rejuvenate products. They’re not the cheapest on the market, but they’re a long way from the most expensive.

When you compare Rejuvenate products to those of its competitors, such as Bona, they often work out a little cheaper. But it’s best to look at the price per ounce, as bottle sizes differ from brand to brand.

TESTING INSIGHT:

Each 32-ounce Rejuvenate bottle covers around 625-650 feet, so it goes a long way. I found a couple of spritzes covered a good amount of my floors without needing a second coat.

The only area that needed extra attention was the toughest dirt around the bin. And even then, a couple of sprays and some elbow grease sorted it right out.

So overall, I’d say you get value for money with the Rejuvenate multi-surface floor cleaner.

The Results: A Worthwhile Cleaner

Before/After Test on Tile Floors

I was expecting big things from this floor cleaner after reading all the hype about Rejuvenate floor restoration products. I’ve heard so many stories about how it fills in scratches and leaves floors looking transformed like new.

So, unfortunately, I was somewhat disappointed with the end result. At first, anyway.

I’d say it works better as an All Floors Cleaner than an All Floors Restorer, so don’t let your expectations run away with you. My floors weren’t transformed and left looking shiny and new, like something from a house renovation show.

But this is a Rejuvenate floor cleaner, and not a restorer or polish like the Rejuvenate all floors restorer (view on Amazon, Walmart). And did it work as a tile floor cleaner? Yes, it did.

TESTING INSIGHT:

It tackled stains and stuck-on bits of sticky food with ease, including the marks that have been there a while. A bit of elbow grease was required for the toughest jobs, but I still found it easier than with other floor cleaners.

The results were most noticeable in the area where the trash can lives and by the back door where the dog trots in and out with her muddy paws. It cut through the dirt and grime, leaving the floor looking fresh.

There wasn’t any cleaner residue left behind and the floor was left feeling clean and smooth. I’m pleased to report that it wasn’t slippery either, which is a common concern in homes with children and pets.

So if you’re looking for a way to make maintaining floors a bit easier, I’d recommend Rejuvenate floor cleaner for its dirt destroying abilities.

Rejuvenate Floor Cleaner Dirt on Sponge After Cleaning

What About Streaks and Shine?

A shiny streak-free finish is something we all want for our floors. Unfortunately, it’s not something I found from the Rejuvenate floor cleaner.

The bottle claims it’s “streak free” but there are some faint streak marks left behind. They’re not overly obvious, but you can still see them in certain lights.

I decided to try out a sponge cloth and see what the results were like with this as well. There were fewer streaks where I went over it again with the cloth. So maybe sponge mops are a better choice for banishing streaks.

My floor has always dried with smears and streaks though, and it’s noticeably less with this Rejuvenate cleaner.

Just don’t even think about stepping on it before it’s completely dry, or you are left with marks. And a big old foot print in the middle of your wood floor is the last thing you want after putting in the effort of cleaning it!

As for making my floors shine, there wasn’t any real gloss to speak of. Which is disappointing, but not unexpected.

I’m yet to come across a product that leaves my tile floors with a high-gloss shine rather than a matte satin finish. And I know I’m not the only user who’s experienced this, as we’ll look at next.

The Most Common Complaints About Rejuvenate

Let’s see what other people say about this Rejuvenate cleaner compared to how I found it.

Lack of Shine

The lack of shine is the biggest complaint about this Rejuvenate floor cleaner. People expect a glossy finish, whether they’re using it on hardwood floors, laminate floors, or as a tile floor cleaner.

Wood floors have more of a natural shine to them, so you do get better results with these surfaces. But I had more of a dulling shine than a high-gloss finish.

And it’s worth playing around with applying the cleaner. Try leaving it on your hardwood floor for a little longer before you mop clean.

If it doesn’t work, try using the Rejuvenate Floor Restorer for more thorough results on wood floors.

It’s Streaky

I wasn’t the only one who experienced streaks after using the Rejuvenate floor cleaner. It’s another common complaint about this product.

I followed the instructions and the floor’s finish was pretty good overall. But you could see where I’d used the microfiber cloth in some areas and where streaks formed as it dried.

Removing loose dirt and any old wax buildup before you mop does help to reduce streaks. And it’s worth playing around with your choice of mop.

A Standard-size sponge mop is what I’d recommend for best results. Yes, the label says otherwise, but this is what gave me the best finish.

And it’s much easier than faffing around with a mop/bucket floor cleaner system.

Leaves a Residue

Another common gripe with Rejuvenate floor products is that they leave a residue and a dull film builds after a few uses. This is mainly on hardwood floors and engineered wood floors rather than vinyl and tiles.

I didn’t find any residue or dulling after using it, but I’ll see what happens over the next few weeks.

If you do experience this, you can try using a wood floor restorer to bring the high-gloss finish back to older floors. Or there are DIY recipes that you can try yourself at home.

The Bottle Arrives Cracked

This one doesn’t affect how the Rejuvenate floor cleaner works, but it is annoying. Still, accidents happen during transit and it’s worth knowing what to do about it.

You should contact wherever you bought it from and arrange to have a replacement shipped out to you.

But make sure you take some photos of the damaged bottle first. It shows that it was damaged when it arrived rather than because of anything you’ve done.

Verdict

Whether you’re a floor-cleaning aficionado, or it’s your first time tackling hard floors, it’s simple to achieve decent results with the Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner.

To start, I love the way the product looks. It’s appealing and no-nonsense, which makes it suitable for everyone.

Then the fast drying time means you can freshen up your floors in no time at all. And this is a particular bonus if you’ve got pets or kids like I do.

Of course, my experience is based mainly on a ceramic tile floor. But you can use the Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner on any surface.

It’s the only cleaner you need, saving you from having to store loads of different bottles if you’ve got a mixture of surfaces.

And while the shine booster technology didn’t wow me as much as I’d hoped, it still left my floors looking cleaner than my usual product. Enough for my husband to comment on how fresh the floors’ looked!

It’s not the cheapest option, but I would buy it again. The entire floor looked clean and it stayed cleaner for longer than it usually does.

I’d suggest using a sponge mop rather than a microfiber pad for the best results and to minimize any streaks.

Happy cleaning!

Alternatives Of Rejuvenate All Floors Cleaner

If I’ve piqued your interest, check out some other products for different floor types that are also worth trying on your mission for clean floors.

Rejuvenate Professional Wood Floor Restorer and Polish

If your hardwood floor needs a refresh, this professional wood floor restorer (view on Amazon, Walmart) bonds with the existing finish to help seal and protect. It fills in scratches and scuffs, leaving you with rejuvenated floors.

The shine builds further to a satin finish as you add a second coat of Rejuvenate floor restorer. But make sure you stick to hard wood floors, as it’s not suitable for tiles and laminate flooring.

Rejuvenate Professional Hardwood Floor Cleaner

This is another Rejuvenate floor cleaner (view on Amazon, Walmart) rather than polish, but it’s just for your hardwood floor rather than multiple surfaces. This hardwood floor cleaner is designed to cut through grease and grime with ease while leaving your wood floor looking shiny and streak-free.

This floor restorer works best on floors installed over 5 years ago, but it isn’t designed for use on a laminate floor.
